NEW YEAR'S EVE SEQUINS!

Hello everyone,

I'm back just in time for the holidays! I couldn't miss this chance to dress-up and celebrate the approach of the new year with YOU. In one word how would you sum up your 2021? For me, it was the year of CHANGE...so many things happened in my life that I never expected. And guess what? Most of them were amazing! Like always I'm looking forward to what's to come and appreciating what has already been. What's something you're really excited about in 2022?  

On New Year's Eve I can't avoid making a statement in my choice of outfit. It's always a bit out there with lots of sparkle, fancy fabrics and more than a hint of glitter on my eyelids. I feel like a walking disco ball, but that's the FUN in it. This is the one night where all is allowed and sequins is hundred percent part of it. For me New Year's Eve without sequins is a little sad!!! 😞

This post is called New Year's Eve sequins for a reason. Its got the over-the-top sequins for a special party. I can't wait to dance the night away!💃 Every step you take the sparkly fringe moves to your own beat. I LOVE IT! 

Skirts like this one are easy to style because I really just let it stand-out while I keep everything else in one solid color. If it wasn't the skirt, I would most definitely have a fun and unique top. I like having this balance between top and bottom not like the way I dressed in my teen years when everything was super bright, loud and nothing was ever thought through. Some things do change!!!😉 Are you doing sequins the night of 2022?  

Since this skirt is a bit long and I want it to shine in all its glory, I think a black crop top sweater is a nice touch. Simple, cozy and cute for this season! It's still sweater weather season. I like the sweater part, but I'm so ready for the hot temperatures to arrive. I enjoy my summers the MOST!

HOW TO STYLE YOUR SLIP DRESS THIS FALL!

Hello everyone,

It takes a miracle to say NO to a slip dress! I say YES to it even during the fall/winter season because it's just too good. I don't and I won't wait for summer to put on a slip dress. Wondering why? Because there are so many cool ways to style it! 

Slip dresses can be turned cool, casual and dressy within seconds...ok, minutes, if you're one who takes longer to get ready...hahaha! I'm sure this type of dress will save you some extra time. That's why it's called a slip dress right? Slip it and GO!

I love that this delicate item works for everything from your workplace paired with a blazer and heels to a weekend getaway with a denim jacket and wedged sneakers. In my opinion, it's a must-have wardrobe staple! Only thing you have to worry about is the material. It takes a bit more effort to keep it clean. For example, avoid perfume stains by using your fragrance before putting on the dress. Also, don't iron it without turning it over, placing a cloth over it and using as little heat as possible. These are simple tricks I'm sure a lot of us are already familiar with. It's good to keep them in mind! If you've owned a few silk pieces in your lifetime, I'm positive you've got funny stories you remember them by. Share yours in the comments!

So how do you style a slip dress for fall?

 

Well, with lots of cozy layering wardrobe essentials and more of an autumn appropriate color palette. I love neutrals for fall! Even more I enjoy dressing full monochromatic from head to toe once the colder months arrive. It's something happens naturally because I notice I don't do it as often in my spring/summer everyday style. 

While this type of dress works for every season, adding boots, a teddy coat and a cool hat are all you need right now. The three Go-To staples for sure! Autumn can't get any more chic without them. By the way, speaking of fall...have you seen my fall fashion haul yet? It's a FUN one! I loved doing it and actually going shopping for it. You know how that goes...it gets harder to stop!

For sure this is the season to go that extra mile with your style because you can create countless looks just by layering some of the same items you may own. For example, I can make so many things happen with these same accessories and teddy coat. Use your imagination, your personality and your mood as the best guidelines to help you decide what to wear each morning. So what are you feeling like wearing today?

FALL FASHION HAUL 2021!

Hello everyone,

For many people the change of season is exciting, but for me, the shopping that comes along with each season tops it all! I mean, that's one way for me to step into autumn - with a fresh new outlook, and of course, a brand new style. It feels like the first day of school shopping all over again! 🤣 How many of you did a little sneaky shopping spree as well? If you did...I applaud you! This just shows that great minds think alike! 😉

It took me a while to get these looks ready, but here we are. I'm more than satisficed with my new fall pieces because I definitely shopped the sale section and can proudly say that I picked up items which would be fun to layer throughout the season. Also, keep in mind autumn in Vegas is very unique...unlike any other city. We've still got plenty of sunshine!!! 🌞 Temperatures begin to cool off at the end of October.

1. Satin Cowl Slip Dress

A satin dress has been on my wishlist for the longest time. I feel like well before I was even born! 🤣 

I bought this one the minute I saw it because this kind of dress can easily work for the upcoming holidays. However, it can also be layered cute and casual with sneakers and an added outerwear jacket for the changing fall season. 

Only thing that secretly kept me from buying a silk dress is how delicate it is. The attention it needs to take care of it is sometimes more work than looking after a toddler...hahaha! For example, when ironing you have to iron it safely by flipping the fabric inside out and using a cloth on top as a safe net from destroying it.  

I'm already thinking about showing you a few various looks with this silk dress in a future post. I see the outfits in my mind. Now, all I've got to do is make it happen!!! Would you be interested in a post like that? Do let me know!!!

      

2. Wedge Sneakers

While it's hard for me to let go of summer, one thing I love about fall is going back to wearing all different styles of boots and sneakers. I turn into a real Shoeholic very quickly! 😁

I've been wearing these beige sneakers ever since I got them. Honestly, it's the one pair in my collection that without a doubt goes well with everything. I even forgot I've got other shoes because I've been reaching out for these ones so often. Just like a pair of black combat boots they're a winning pair in every autumn look... trust me!!! Above is an example of one of the many ways you can style them!

3. Puff Sleeves Jacket

Okay...puff sleeves is where it's at for me! I see them, I want them and I've got to have them. This suede jacket was the starter of my fall shopping haul. It kicked off not only the new season for me, but also my desire to shop more! 😂 I know, what a shocker!!! 😱 Welcome to my world!

Certainly with fall finally here I've been really focusing on changing my color palette as well. I'm leaning toward lots of browns and grays this year. What about you? 

Did you know this jacket is by a brand named Scoop carried by Walmart? I recently discovered it and become a fan of. It's sooooo Good! I know this because I've noticed every time I add something to my shopping cart, it's by Scoop! I keep checking back for their new styles! Ayyyy help me! 🙉

        

4. Caged Floral Lace Bodysuit

Lace and bodysuits are like chocolate and cake to me. The perfect combination of pleasure and sweet. This is why this new item made it fast and furiously into my shopping cart. Everything online happens so quickly...hahaha! I can't remember the last time I went into a mall to do some shopping for clothing. 

With this one, definitely the sage color got me. I figured it's great to wear the way I wore it here or layer it a bit more once the air starts getting cooler. Plus, it's sexy! It looks and feels like lingerie. I LOVE IT!

Guess where I bought this bodysuit from? It was on sale! Yep forever21...my forever crush! 😍 I've been so obsessed shopping the sales there for so many years. My closet is mostly a combination of forever 21 and H&M pieces. I can't even break this cycle...😅 Ohhh well, I'm not even complaining about it.

         

5. Hoodie + Joggers Loungewear Set

My fall shopping haul is ending on the soft side because there's nothing softer than this two set loungewear. It's absolutely the best material. I imagine this hoodie and joggers are going to keep me the warmest during the autumn/winter because everything else I have is kind of lightweight, meant for spring/summer. Ayyyyy and I consider myself a smart shopper! 😂 

For basics I love shopping at H&M. Exactly where I got this set from. They carry the most classic staples that every wardrobe needs whether it's for work or a day off (most of us can only dream about.)

HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR EVERDAY LEGGINGS!

Hello everyone,

We're levitating today...why you may ask? Simply because we're upgrading our everyday leggings into something a little extra. I call this unordinary and very extraordinary!😁 

Leggings are so great for this time of year where it's beginning to feel a bit more like autumn, but there is still so much sunshine warming up our days. It's just perfect!!! This is the time when I absolutely love combing long bottoms with cute everyday tops like a fun tee or a nice cami. Plus, you can't go wrong with athleisure when you want comfort and style mixed into one. It's a duo that's hard to resist since we've gotten used to sporting loungewear for the past year and a half. Everyday leggings have become the new norm not only for the gym, but well beyond it. When was the last time you wore something other than leggings? Be honest!!!

Before I get into the fun ways to elevate your leggings, I would love to know, where do you like to shop for leggings? Is there any awesome brand I should most definitely know about?      

There are so many ways to tweak your leggings and make them work for various occasions. Plus, there's always the option of going full on athleisure wear since that's super trendy, looks awesome and is hundred percent comfortable. The kind of streetstyle that anyone can pull-off and add their own twist to it. For example, I love seeing the baggy oversized sweater or the belt bag hanging over the shoulder. Let your personality shine!!! 

Just like with this look today, I love finishing it off with a cool outerwear like this awesome suede jacket. I mean, look at the puffy sleeves...😍. It's by a brand called SCOOP which I very recently discovered. The amazing part about it is that it sells at Walmart now, since a while back this brand used to be kind of exclusive and very expensive. This is the new addition I got for the upcoming fall and really like the way it completely transforms my everyday leggings. I definitely also see it over a floral maxi dress for fall or a simple pair of denim jeans. What do you think? Since I wanted to stick to the athleisure vibes, I added a pair of sneakers. I think the rest of the accents in this outfit were enough to upgrade it to the next level. We've got the cool accessories and the crispy white crop top. How would you style your leggings?

5 THINGS YOU MUST DO IN VEGAS THIS SUMMER!

Hello everyone,

The BEST thing about Vegas is that we have longer summers. Summers here extend into the end of September; sometimes even mid-October. I LOVE IT! Not only that, but also, there's so much to do here. Lots to see, experiment and drink! 🤣 

If you're a Las Vegas local you know exactly what I mean. If not, what are you still doing with your life? Get Vegasingggggg! 

This summer is one of the greatest ones I've had hanging out with friends, sharpening my salsa moves and getting back into live music after having everything shutdown because of Covid the previous year. It has been one of these summers I'll definitely remember for a long time. So, to keep the memories alive, I decided to share some of the things I did this summer. Also, these events are still happening, so you can totally take advantage of them and enjoy these last days of summer to the fullest. Sounds Good? 

Take note: A lot of these events appeared to me through ads on my phone. As you can see...I surrendered! Now, I'm an event ad goer who purchases an event after event to help extend my weekends. hahahaha!     

1. Go on a Sunset Yacht Ride at Lake Las Vegas

Cruising on a yacht during sunset has always been a big dream of mine. I saw this yacht tour happening at Lake Las Vegas and jumped at the opportunity right away. It was the perfect way to celebrate my sister's new job! I surprised her with tickets, and well, it was definitely a night to remember. 

We got to unwind to the light summer breeze, with the backdrop of acoustic music playing from the two-story yacht, cute mini bars on each level, and a crowd of people all dressed up in colorful summer attire. Most relaxing yet enchanting getaway because it felt just like a vacation. Pure magic! I totally recommend it if you're looking for something romantic or something new to do in Las Vegas.  

The cruise continues...well into the end of September. Here are the dates if you want to catch one before the end of summer. (Tickets cost $50 per person.)

2. Grab Coffee at Burgundy Café & Bakery

Necesito Cafecito...all the time! 😁 I can't pass a day without a nice iced cup of coffee. Thankfully, with the help of my friends, I found the nicest French bakery, which has endless delicious choices - lots of different croissants, macarons, fresh sandwiches and the most lovely European atmosphere. I love going at the Burgundy café located at the Village Square plaza. Make a stop there, if you've never been! I mean it...it's a special place!

If you're looking to practice your French speaking skills or are homesick for your country, this is the place to brunch, talk and connect with others. And maybe dream a little more about Paris! 😉 I've never been, but I can picture the Eiffel Tower every time I'm there. I mean, how can you not when you've got the purest taste of French cuisine in your mouth? hahaha        

3. Have Fun at Wet 'n' Wild Water Park

Where there's sunshine, there is always time for a wild water park! 🤗

This is literally the best way to spend the weekend with family or friends. So fun - not just laying in the sun and getting a tan, but really getting into your childhood spirit with the most adventurous water rides. I LOVE IT!

We visited Wet "n" Wild first, and then two weeks later, my friends and I did Cowabunga Bay Water Park in Henderson. Both are way fun when you're with the right company. At Cowabunga we stayed all day long, caught the most amazing fireworks and faced pretty intense, big water rides. It was a heart-beating adventure for sure!!! I would recommend visiting both because they each have their own charm and help create such fun lasting summer memories.

4. Visit Area 15

This is the place everyone keeps talking about whether you're a local or not. It looks unbelievable from what I've seen or heard friends say so far. I'm definitely going to try and visit soon. It's on my bucket list that's for sure!

Everyone has been recommending the Omega Mart Meow Wolf's experience. However, there's also the Van Gogh art exhibition, axes throwing and so much more. If you've already been to Area 15 let me know what part was your favorite and drop me some ideas in the comments section.

5. Catch a Classical Music Candlelight Performance 

Imagine this...a candlelight instrumental concert of the best works of Vivaldi, Beethoven or Chopin. I believe this is going to be hands down the best experience ever. I will be going to the Beethoven one in a week from now and can't wait. Music like this touches the soul, and ohhh my, I'm so sure it's going to be INCREDIBLE!

I'll come back and add photos once this event is over. You can catch these classical music concerts well into the month of November. There is also one that will cover the all time favorite hits of the Beatles if you're a big fan. Truly, you can't go wrong with classical music!

FAVORITE AMAZON SUMMER FINDS!

My most recent summer destination has been to...Amazon and back! 🤣 I'm actually not complaining because the scenery there is stunning, the colors are popping and the hottest season can be felt every step of the way. 

I really can't remember what I did with my life before Amazon?! All I know is that I started shopping there A LOT at the beginning of lockdown.. Now, whenever I need something for the home or I'm in the mood for a little seasonal shopping spree, I head straight to Amazon. It's just so convenient! And great prices!

Since my love for Amazon has become deeper, I've decided it's the perfect time to share with you my favorite pieces. Be warned: you'll see more colors than the rainbow...hahaha, lots of bold prints and the occasional solids, but still vibrant sets. 

What do you love to shop MOST from Amazon? What's the last thing you bought from there? Don't worry if you purchased more than a few things. You can still tell me. I can keep a secret! Your husband or boyfriend won't find-out from me! 🛍 

1. WRAP RUFFLE MAXI DRESS

This green dress is the definition of a must-have summer boho dress. One of the best purchases I made on Amazon. It looks amazing! 

I love dressing it up with white wedges or down with a pair of sneakers. I recently wore this dress to a special event on an yacht and three people commented on how much they liked it. Everybody was surprised to find out that my dress was from Amazon and not some overpriced boutique store.

Also, this dress fits all sizes. You wrap it around your waist as tight or as loose as you like. Very nice for day when you're not feeling your best. You can tailor it to your liking.

    

2. V-NECK FLORAL SPLIT MAXI DRESS 

The dress saga must continue because I think Amazon has some of the prettiest floral print dresses and styles. Another maxi, but this one is more sensual and sexy because of the open back and the low front v-cut. Isn't it beautiful?

I imagine wearing this beautiful floral maxi on vacation at dinner and a walk on the beach. A gentle breeze would make it look even more stunning with the slit showing off the legs. This kind of dress deserves all the sunshine and palm trees it can get. It's so perfect for summer that I hope by wearing it, winter delays or something...hahaha!

     

3. RUFFLE BOHO MINI DRESS

Who doesn't like a cute boho ruffle dress?

It's so easy for me to fall in love with one because I love florals, ruffles, something chic and something sweet. This is one of the first Amazon dresses I purchased at the very beginning of the year. I've been wearing it for special summer nights with heels. Nights that involve dancing, music and a little fun!

I can't get over the fact that this is another Amazon find because it looks like a boutique dress. I really like the long sleeves and the deep v-neck line. It makes the dress very feminine and sexy!

    

4. POLKA DOTS CROP TOP + LONG SKIRT SET 

Summer solids are wonderful, but it's fun to kick it up a notch with some kind of print like this two-piece polka dot crop top and long skirt duo. I love the tiny polka dots. This is the kind of print that I thought I would never wear because I wasn't  ever a big fan, but look at me now... hahaha! Crazy how taste and preferences change as we change. What's something you never liked wearing before and now you're kind of obsessing over? 

This is such an effortless and easy-going outfit, especially if you wear sneakers. Very chill, summery and a favorite go-to set. You can wear it to the beach, or brunch, even dinner. Choose your accessories wisely and you can pretty much wear this two-piece set anywhere. 

 

5. TWO-PIECE CROP TOP + SLIT PANTS 

Two-piece sets have a way of making summer, and life in general, feel easier...😁 Not much thought goes into it. This is perfectly fine on days when you're in a rush to get ready. It's nice to have something to fall back on when life becomes hectic. 

This blue dreamy set is everything I like...very lightweight, playful sleeves, leg slits and the best part is both top and bottom can also be worn separately as well. I can see the crop top worn with a nice pair of high-waisted denim jeans and the pants combined with a simple cami top. What do you think? Go get yourself one! Link is right there! 

          

6. CAMOUFLAGE HIGH WAISTED SHORTS

While summer is fun for its bright and flowy apparel, I'm also into finding cool workout-sets that can easily be combined with the pieces I already own. Amazon has a really great selection when it comes to comfortable, stretchy tops and shorts. I found these camo high-waisted shorts  and thought I've got to add them to my summer finds because they passed the squat-proof test! Plus, they fit and look great. 

Another favorite brand of mine, which sells on Amazon is RBX Active. I got a pair of black biker shorts, which I must say I wear most often. Check it out for sure!

NAIL CARE ROUTINE FAVORITES!

Hello everyone,

Who else loves nailing the day, the week, the year with amazing nails? This is something that I enjoy spending my time doing. I have created my own nail care routine through the years, which works for me and makes me happy. Taking care of my nails weekly has easily turned into my "me time". It feels like my own therapy session where I completely focus on the details of what I want my nails to look like. My favorite part is deciding the nail polish and the design I want to create. There's almost always nail studs or sparkle involved and often I like painting my nails two different shades. It's so FUN!

Okay, as you can tell by now, I might be a little too obsessed with all things nails...you can call this a fetish of mine. hahaha 🤣 I'm sure I must not be the only one! We girls enjoy and take pride in having pretty nails!!! Whenever I have my nails done, I feel more like a lady. This simple act definitely makes me more confident. Like always, it's the little things we do for ourselves that count!😉

Also, I've never gotten my nails done by someone else because I feel like I already have all the tools I need. Plus, like I said, this is something I really LOVE doing! I have my own nail salon of soothing music with plenty of nail polish colors all at the comfort of my home.

As this hobby of mine continues to grow, I decided now it's a great time to share with you my favorite nail tips and tricks. The products that work for me and make my nails as happy as can be!!! 😁

TWEEZERMAN Mini Nail Kit

Before even thinking about painting my nails (most likely a vibrant color), I always get them clean and ready. This Tweezerman mini kit comes to the rescue every single time. What's great about it is that you can literally take it with you anywhere. Slip it into your purse or bring it along for your travels. Its got the very essentials...cuticle pusher + cleaner, a nail clipper and a nice file to shape the nails. 

One thing that I have found works for me is I shape and cut the death cuticle skin right after a hot shower. That's when the skin is softest and easier to work with. It takes only a few minutes! Then I take a nail buffer block and smoothen the nails, so it's easier to apply the nail polish. This of course, leads to my favorite part, which is coming up with the design and color shades I want to use. 

Just a week ago, I bought this metallic 12 pack set of nail polishes from Amazon. I was so excited to try it out that I quickly decided I had to paint my nails in two colors. I went for this unique metallic green and yellow. Colors which make me even more summer happy! 💚💛 What's great is I have been wearing this design for a few days now and it hasn't chipped the slightest. I can definitely make it through this weekend and then I'll pick new colors to sport. I don't think I can get tired of the way the metallic polishes shine. I know some people like nudes and others like fun, playful, vibrant shades like me. Which one are you?               

When it comes to sealing the nail polish, I'm very fond of Sally Hansen's products. I have used her top coat for years and still find that it works for me. It gives my nails a nice finishing glossy touch and dries them within seconds, so I can get on with my day. I hear the Deborah Lippmann top coat is also a winner. One I'm for sure looking forward to trying because it has gotten so many positive reviews. What top coat do you use?  

Since I like all things nail related and gadgets that help make my life easier, I'm looking to get a pedicure nail dryer soon. If you have any suggestions on a really great one, please let me know. Looks like I will definitely be turning my desk area into a mini nail salon when I'm inspired to do my nails, which is very often. 

Just as I like collecting different colored nail polishes, I'm a maniac for nail art (studs, stamp designs, anything unique). When the mood strikes, I enjoy creating something pretty and different. I can't say that I have always been happy with the outcome, but you know this can happen to the best of us...🤣
