TRANSITION FROM FALL TO WINTER!

Hello everyone,

Many of you have already experienced the falling of the first snow, which means fall is fast behind and it's officially winter. There is no real winter for me, but that did not stop me from sharing with you how to transition your style from one season to the other, in this case from fall to winter.
In this post I'll give you all the tips you'll need to look stylish, yet dress appropriate to the according season without freezing or feeling like your style has hit rock bottom. Your style should never have to suffer, no matter the season. Whether it's winter or summer, wherever you are in the world, you can let your personality shine through your choice of clothing. So for those of you having trouble taking your style from fall to winter, read on because hopefully at the end you'll have a clear understanding and lots of ideas on making that fashionable transition easier for yourself. I know that for some of us that change can be a bit more difficult because we don't adapt as easily as others, but the sooner we accept it, the better. Let the change begin!

The Transition ( Fall- Winter)

  • Going from fall to winter, exchange your lighter knit sweaters/cardigans to warmer and heavier ones that will keep you extra warm. For example, in the fall you can wear a light sweater, sweater coat ( long sweater that hangs open) or even a fur vest (so you're not too hot), but in the winter transition that light sweater for a heavy knit one, that sweater coat for a trench coat and that fur vest for a warm fur coat.
  • During the colder days, layering is key. The more layers the warmer and more fashionable you'll be!
  • Don't be afraid to add accessories such as scarves, gloves, shawl or wrap. In the fall you can get away with a pretty print silk scarf, while in the winter go for a thick wool scarf. As you can see in the photos above, during the fall I added a beanie (won't keep me as warm) and in the winter I exchanged the beanie for my favorite fur pom wool hat.
  • One piece that works for every season from fall-winter & spring-summer is the denim jacket, so take full advantage of it.
  • Let the colors of your clothing go from neutrals to darker ones as the winter sets and stays for a while.
  • For the fall ankle boots are fine. For the winter it's best to go for knee high boots with leg warmers underneath and even leggings under your jeans, depending on the decrease in temperature in your city. For my looks I stuck with booties because like I said earlier, I live in Las Vegas, a place where winters aren't as freezing and unpredictable as other places.
  • Most importantly have fun when you're dressing and express yourself through your choice of clothing.

As you can see I wore the same sweater that I was able to work into each season. For the winter I layered it with a longer gray sweater underneath and of course added my warmest coat and scarf to match not only everything else, but the mood and cold temperatures in the Charleston mountains, the location of these forest shots. Isn't it beautiful? The air was so refreshing, it was quiet for a change, nature's beauty was all around unlike the busy city and the constant traffic that is most common where I live. I'm already looking forward to going back and doing another hike, which felt like the old times when I hiked more often - in Bulgaria, where I grew up.

On a completely different note, I wanted to introduce you to a new site that I recently found out about. It offers hair extensions, ponytails, make-up for all beauty lovers and hair tools. If you're interested, have a look, I'll leave the links below.

BOMBER JACKET BOOM!

Hello everyone,

It's officially fall by looking at these photos, but don't be fooled, this is the only spot I found in Vegas where there were leaves and some color that resembled autumn. It still very much feels like spring with sunshine, birds chirping, green trees and beauty all around.

The day before this, it rained all day/night (it rarely happens here) that the morning of the photo shoot, the air felt so refreshing (great to be alive). No wonder we shot more than two-hundred photos!

It's no secret that bomber jackets are really big right now. You can create effortlessly chic or effortlessly sporty looks all day long. That's why I decided to put my dad's bomber jacket to use because I love the over-sized fit, the army green color and the fact that it's now mine (shhh, please don't tell him!) As long as he doesn't notice that it's missing, you'll be seeing me out and about in this trendy piece with a big smile on my face😁
Have you ever "borrowed" something from your mom's or dad's closet?

With the jacket being over-sized, I wanted everything else to be tight to my body for that feminine touch. I went for my stretchy and super comfy leggings and a tee, that I tied in a knot to the side. That just makes it look like no ordinary tee. I'm loving this effect with this look in particular.

Also, let's talk about my favorite leather Franco Sarto booties.
Funny story: While I was walking from one tree to the next for some distance shots, I stepped in dog poop. It was fresh, smelled horrifically, and my smile went from up to upside down. My right heel was covered in it, but like a true trooper I posed and posed until the end, and once we fished, I ran to the restroom to clean it up. Now I can breath out and inform you that my booties are all right and in top notch shape once again (Thank God!)

See you again... soon!

                                                                                                                                      Love, Radi

EDGY in LEATHER and FUR!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Downtown Las Vegas!
If you've never been, picture this: tiny street blocks all connected together like a maze with traffic lights and gorgeous street art. Old casinos, most of them remodeled and given a new look, mixed in with little motels and apartment buildings that add character. Lots of tourists roaming the infamous Fremont Street along with locals just out to enjoy the beautiful weather. In one word, it's a culturally rich and artistic place that if you end up visiting you must bring along your friends to experience it together. Because of the stunning graffiti each stop of the way, I finally got the perfect outfit to shoot there with my photographer, and I freaking love it - the art behind me, the deserted parking lot where we shot, just the whole feel of the place was very inspiring!
Now that you've got a feel for Downtown Las Vegas, let's talk about the cool, slightly dangerous, black and gray look I have for you this week, shall we?

I wanted to express my wild, tough side, which is why I went for darker hues than my usual bright style. I must admit this hard-core look totally unleashed my bad-ass self and made me feel super confident and awesome. Plus, this is the kind of outfit you can get away with wearing during the fall and winter seasons in Las Vegas because, let's face it, Vegas isn't iceberg-cold or anything.

To start it all off, I chose a simple fitted gray tee and faux leather leggings (links to more leather looks, here and here). These two items were my canvas that allowed me to build upon the look from there. I could head a million directions, but I came to adding my beloved fur vest as a key player. Not only is it in season, but it's the best thing ever made for when you're feeling hot and cold at the same time. Another inspiring look that you might find interesting (with a different fur vest of mine) you can head over here.

Let's ride with these over-the-knee boots that I clearly remember receiving last year for Christmas. Santa definitely knows what I like! :)

Because I like wearing just about any style of hat (preferably ones that look good on me), I added this cool leather cap that gives me that edge I was searching for right from the beginning. I love it so much that I'm pretty sure you'll see it in future posts as well.

I just couldn't pass the opportunity to add some color with my handbag that, Surprise! matches the art wall in the back (I swear, this wasn't planned). Isn't it cute? It also, comes with a strap, but somehow holding it in hand totally beats that option and looks better than I could have imagined.

As for jewelry, of course, I added some gold tiny rings and a cuff bracelet. I cannot repeat enough how much I love jewelry and believe that it transforms any look from good to great. Trust me, jewelry has magical powers that I'm sure everyone who wears it, knows what I'm talking about.

I hope you enjoyed this cool, edgy, wild, fur-delicious look that had me rocking out to the camera's shutter sound the whole time. This marks another unique experience that I can add to my book.

Have a beautiful day and thank you for each and every one of you that follows me and takes the time to comment down below. Please share this post with your friends, family, dog, cat, grandma and I'll be back here in no time. See you soon! Oh, and by the way, come and visit me and we'll go exploring the art district together?!

5 WAYS to WEAR a SCARF!

Hello everyone,

I believe a simple piece like a scarf can add that something special to any outfit and be worn all year round, which brings me to the conclusion of totally agreeing with Rebecca Bloomwood  in "Shapoholic" when she just couldn't resist buying that vivid silk green scarf. If you know what I'm talking about and have seen the movie (one of my favorites) you win extra points. This reminds me, after I show you the five ways to style a summer scarf, to get out the dvd and watch it (for maybe the hundredth time) because I can't hide the fact that in many ways I can relate to Rebecca, she's such a character and the movie is just so fun and easy-going, always puts a smile on my face. Have you seen it?

Back to the scarf in hand. Here are the five ways I would wear a scarf, in the hopes of making my outfit more fashionable and more unique. I hope you enjoy it and this gives you some ideas of ways to spice up your look next time you want to experiment with something different.

 1. Tie the scarf to your handbag

This technique in my opinion can make your look a lot more interesting, plus stylish, girlie and next thing you know everyone else is doing it. I really like it especially for days when you're wearing casual shorts and a tee, but you want your accessories to pop. Look at how awesome a purse looks with a scarf wrapped around it. This gets me thinking that even an old handbag that has be worn lots with the help of a scarf would look like brand new. Personally, I'm looking forward to sporting this look more often. Best thing about it is that you can change the scarfs up to match your outfit.

2. Tie the scarf as a bracelet

Another fun way to take your outfit to the next level, by turning your scarf into one big bracelet. Leave your bracelets behind and try this fresh new take that may easily become your new favorite summer trend. I know I can easily get used to it! There's no wrong way of doing it, just tie it around your wrist in a way that looks good to you and you're set to get lots of compliments or stares because of your one of a kind style idea. Embrace it and allow it to speak for itself.

3. Turn your scarf into a colorful belt

We all know that sometimes belts can be boring, so next time you get ready skip the belt and add a cute colorful scarf around your waist. This is way more fun and prettier because you'll have the scarf hanging nicely and adding a new element to your whole outfit (one that you didn't imagine could exist until now). I love the look of it and the relaxed summer feeling it carries, perfect for those temperature raising days.

4. Make a headband out of your scarf

Not only is this the best way to add accessories to your hair, but the perfect way to get your hair out of your face in style. A simple technique like this one will give you that more relaxed boho-chic look, which you can sport at the beach or whenever shopping. That's right I'm thinking of California, even Hawaii... anywhere there's sunshine, sand, palm trees and water to dip into. I'm so dreaming of that perfect paradise!

5. Tie it around your neck

And we can't forget the most practical and popular way to style your scarf, around the neck. This not only helps those of you who have long necks and want to hide it, but makes any look a lot more versatile and memorable. I find that one simple outfit with the touch of a scarf becomes bang bang....too good and so right. From nay to yay, from okay to wow! :)

Well, we've come to the end. Like I said, now I'm going to go watch "Shapoholic" and enjoy the rest of the day. Have a great one as well and let me know how you liked this blog post in the comments. Also, if you haven't seen my previous styling post (all about the white button-down) have a look Here!

I'm already looking forward to next week when we'll see each other again! Bye!
