ROAD TRIP SERIES: JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK!

Hello everyone,

I'm beyond EXCITED to bring back the Road Trip Series I started last year!!! 🤗

For those of you who have been following along, I hope you're just as ready to take the road to the southern part of California and visit some awesome desert landmarks, which you can only see at Joshua Tree National Park

And for those of you who are NEW to this series, no worries...you can always catch up and go on this journey with me through my photos. I take plenty of them (actually my photographer does), so you don't miss a single view. So right now, I recommend you don't blink as often! There is so much beauty! This national park completely blew me away and quickly became one of my top favorites. You'll see why in a few minutes!😍

I got back from this weekend road trip one day ago and thought I just had to write this post as soon as possible. My heart is bouncing as I write this because I'm still under the influence of everything I saw and experienced there. There was of course, lots of hiking, endless fields of cactus trees and a breathtaking overview from which you can spot the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs (that's where I caught the sunset during one of the nights.)😱

For those of you who are interested in knowing more about my fun road trip to Joshua tree, I promise I will do a separate post where I will share with you the best things to see while there!!! Stay tuned for that!!!

Wanna know what's so special about Joshua tree? Where do I begin? Some of the must-see sights are Keys View, Barker Dam, the Jumbo Rocks, the Cholla Cactus Garden, the Skull Rock and the Arch Rock. Yep, there is plenty to be explored, so I suggest staying for a few days. A full weekend would be perfect like I did because it gave me the chance to enjoy each landmark and do some hiking in between.

Also, while I was there it was a bit windy, so definitely take a jacket or two. The last day, Sunday, was the day that was completely sunny and nice. I switched from leggings to biker shorts and it felt so good! 😁

Which of these outfits is your favorite? The black dress, the flowy kimono or the jeans and crop top combo? Before deciding on my looks, I wanted them to suit and express the boho, free-spirited vibes of the location. I always pick my outfits based on the location I'm visiting. Who else does that?

I even tend to get super specific with the details of my accessories. I went for colorful bright jewelry pieces that would pop-out against the rugged rocks and endless desert landscapes. Hopefully you can feel these vibes through my photos!🌵

To end this post, I must say...Joshua Tree National Park is an absolute treasure of a place. You've got to make your way up there if you've never been. It's one of these road trips that I will always remember. Truly it goes under "The BEST weekend" category!!! 👌

I don't know what road trip awaits next, but I'm so ready for it!

Here is a lookback at my previous road trips:

LITTLE BLACK DRESS FOR EVERY OCCASSION!

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know a woman who doesn't own a l.b.d. (little black dress)? Me neither! It's hard to explain, but a black dress is the ultimate wardrobe staple. A little black dress works for every age under the sun. If you're a guy, you might not fully grasp the concept of owning one. However, it's the same as what cars or cool technology gadgets mean to most of you (men). To sum it up...it's exciting, pleasing to the eye and a great confidence booster.

Seasons change, but a little black dress always stays classy, fierce and beautiful. It's like seeing the first sign of spring; the pink blossom of a tree or hearing the chirping of a bird flying by. So M&M...memorable and magical!!! 💖

I want to know...what occasion makes you bring out your "l.b.d."? And how often do you find yourself wearing one? It would be interesting to read your answers because I know, for me, I most often reach for mine when going out at night. However, I would also simply style it for a day at the park or a family picnic.

Girls Night Out

Shop Boots

You've got the little black dress and now what's left to do is call your girls for a fun night out. This lovely mini, ruffled hem dress is perfect to slip on, glam up and let sway in the spring night breeze.

It's easy to let this dress guide you to the dance floor. I mean, I can't think of a better place to let it shine. For me that's an ideal night-out...all I want is salsa, bachata and more salsa! 🤣💃 Ok... and two, three tequilas! hahaha

What's even more special about this l.b.d. is that it's just so perfect with my new Up2Step boots. I can still smell that fresh leather, which comes with new shoes! Who else isn't afraid to admit their love for a brand new pair of shoes? Sometimes I even wonder if I buy shoes just to smell them! hahaha Ayyyy, ayudame! I even still keep the pretty box in which they were wrapped with an orange bow. Sorry, I can't help it! These over the knee boots feel and look of the quality of some world known high-end brands, so I want to keep them as shiny as possible.

You can have a head over to Up2Step's Instagram for a closer look of their amazing collection. You've got shoes for every occasion and every season. I'm hoping I get the chance to wear my over the knee boots a few more times before it officially becomes sandals season.

Brunch/Picnic

Brunch/picnics and dresses go hand in hand especially right now when the sun is starting to shine and all you want to do is be outside enjoying the daylight!
😁

Grab your picnic basket or reserve a table outside for some needed yummy bites and girl chats. This A-line black dress is what I would wear for the occasion. I would style it more casual with a denim shirt and combat boots. You want to feel at ease and comfortable, but still look cute.

One thing I'm really hoping to do this spring is have a picnic outside. Last year, somehow spring flew by and suddenly it was too hot to even attempt at having one. What about you...what are you excited to do this spring? I know we are kind of limited in our choices because some countries went to lockdown #3, but we can still push/try to make the best of it.

Date Night Out

This isn't rocket science because you know a little black dress comes to mind right away when dressing for a date. You've got to have one in lace detailing because it's the most romantic and feminine. Mine comes in full sheer lace sleeves.

The best thing about choosing to wear a black dress is that you can really brighten-up the look with different vibrant accessories. Also, you can add more color by applying a vivid lipstick. This way your l.b.d. is more suitable for spring. It all depends on what makes you feel the most confident!

I prefer always having a pop of color even if it's the tiniest like a flirty pair of blue fringe earrings. Impress and love yourself first and then your date!😉

What's your favorite style of a little black dress? And what occasion did you last wear yours?

SNEAKER STYLES THAT GO WITH EVERYTHING!

Hello everyone,

From time to time, I like to give my heels a break and give a chance to my flat and comfortable sneakers! In fact, last night was the first time in awhile that I wore a pair of high heels for a night-out. It felt strange yet familiar! I think my funny walk might have given away the fact that my sneakers have been my go-to for the past year. Ayyyy, I need to practice walking in heels all over again!🤣

This topic is very relatable to all of us. The pandemic kind of put us in loungewear and sneakers (without a warning). I thought it's a good idea to discover new funky sneaker styles and celebrate some old classics. What do you think?

Also, you know spring time is a great season for pairing your bright bohemian pieces with comfy sneakers. They're an essential for festival season since so much dancing and walking is required. Or, if you dance and walk at the same time like me, that's also fine! hahaha

Now, there are so many sneaker styles out there to fit the liking of every person that it can become difficult to reach for the heels. I don't remember it being like that a few years ago. Plus, with the rising of athleisure wear, sneakers are designed to take you from the gym to brunch, to road tripping'. It's CRAZY in a good way!😱

1. Classic Sneakers

All sneaker lovers know the classics! You've had them since you were a kid, and most likely, still rock them to this day. How many pairs of Converse have you gone through? I love the fact that they're constantly improving their designs with thick platforms, funky illustrations or prints, which suit our hobbies and current way of living. So 2021!
😉

Also, who here is a fan of Vans, Nike or Adidas? Growing up I was super into Adidas. I had a black and very bright sky blue sneakers, which I vividly remember to this day. Every time I put them on for school, I felt awesome rocking them because they were very unique. Plus, they were the only pair I owned, so I was extra careful to keep them in good shape. These sneakers had a great run because they lasted all through my junior high school years. Now, I wish I could bring them back to live!!!

The classics are classics for a reason! You can style them with jeans, shorts, rompers and even dresses. Absolutely everything! This post would have no end if I were to show you each and every way you can style these sneakers.

2. Chunky Trainers

Remember when the chunky trainers blew-up? I was so amazed by how high they are. Literally on another level! I even think they might be taller than some of my heels...
😂.

Some people call these trainers "ugly", so here it really depends on your own personal preference. I like the fact that they do come in really bold hues and give you a nice comfortable height, which helps elongate your legs as if you're wearing a pair of heels. How fascinating is it that a pair of trainers can do that? I'm still wide-eyed, open-mouthed-kind-of impressed!!!🤯

Because they are chunky and can come across as rough, I like to style mine with more feminine staples like a skirt with a crop top or my favorite cycling shorts with a tee. It really depends where I'm headed. For example, I own a unisex black chunky pair in which I enjoy hiking because I don't feel the rocks as much under my feet...I feel a soft bounce on the arc of my foot. For that reason I love them!!!

3. Clean White Sneakers

To end the post on a clean note...we've got the white sneakers! I know they can be a bit hard to keep looking crispy white, but hey, they look nice with TODO! I would suggest giving them a little polish after each time you wear them, if you really want to keep them looking as new as possible. Everything is possible!
😉

Something about owning a pair of white sneakers makes me very excited. Please, tell me I'm not the only one. Even though they're not fancy, they feel fancy with any spring print like florals or tropical palm leaves. Kind of MAGICAL!

Also, my favorite is pairing mine with other white staples to make for one fresh monochromatic look. It just feels right! These sneakers somehow always inspire me to go that direction.

Which type of sneakers are your favorite...chunky, classic or clean? For me, it really depends on where I'm going and my mood that day. However, I like them all because they're fun to style, comfortable and just a great kick to my day.😁

SPRING 2021 DENIM GUIDE!

Hello everyone,

How's it going? I hope you're doing great and you're more than ready for another style post from me. Estoy siempre lista!!!😉

Are you power skipping of joy for spring season? If not, give me 15 seconds to make it official...🤣

Often spring brings along the fun (they're best friends)! This includes lots of effortless, boho and exciting pieces, which add a little something special to the whole season. One such fabric is denim. It always makes a grand entrance and is so practical. I wouldn't blame you if you wore denim everyday. I would even encourage it because it fits everyone like the person who's ready to mingle with everybody at the party.

Denim is universal!💙

I love it, love it and love it some more. This is why and how the idea came about for this post. There are so many denim looks I want to share with you. Plus, denim can be and is spring appropriate, if you've got the right shade or length. For example, during the spring it's best to transition to lighter or white denim staples instead of the dark wash shades that we're used to wearing during the colder months. Also, it's highly recommended to go for denim cut-offs...let your legs feel the sun!

Let the denim guide begin NOW! 3,2,1...

Short Overalls

Who here likes wearing overalls?

Once spring hits, I replace my dungarees with short overalls. I know overalls might not be everyone's cup of coffee, but for me, they take me back to my "younger self". I wore them a ton when I was a teenager, so they're kind of a combination of "nostalgia" and a staple I still enjoy wearing. I don't know if that will be the case once I reach 40!🤣 I'll be sure to let you know.

Denim overalls are just way too easy to style. That's why they're a must-have for spring. You can wear them with a basic tee or add a long-sleeved shirt underneath. As for shoes, I like wearing mine mostly with comfy sneakers. Take it real casual and cute like way back in the days.

Denim Skirt

Drop everything you're doing because we must scream this one out together "WE CAN FINALLY WEAR SKIRTS AGAIN". And I've got to admit...my legs need extra tan. I feel like I need to spray a whole bottle on them...🤣

Wearing skirts is my absolute favorite. I've said it before and will mention it again...I definitely wear skirts more often than dresses. At least that's what I remember from the last two years. I feel like denim skirts are more versatile than dresses and I can really build up a whole VIBE around them. As for dresses you don't need much thought. You throw it on and you're done.

Just imagine wearing your denim skirt with a lovely puff sleeves top or even a nice cami top. There is no mistake to be made. You'll look beautiful either way!

Balloon Denim Jeans

Okay, so spring sometimes has its breezy days, so a light wash unique pair of jeans will do you just right. I like jeans that have some sort of detail about them which makes them extra interesting like studs, floral embroidery or this balloon style. Also, it's good to show a little ankle, so you can start pairing them with your strappy sandals. What do you think?

I always bet on a high-rise style because they help elongate your legs and I get to style them with a few of my favorite crop tops. What's your favorite style of denim jeans?

Again, since spring is almost here, I like going with a super light wash pair of jeans. Running away from black or dark wash denim as fast as possible. I enjoy running! 😂

Denim Shirt

I can't let this guide pass without mentioning the one and only denim shirt. It's the absolute best piece to have when transitioning from winter to spring. You don't even have to wear it...you can tie it around your waist. This will make your outfit look 100% more cool!💯

Denim shirts are fun to wear with shirt dresses, cycling shorts, crop tops and so much more. You name it! It will most likely go great like peanut butter and jelly or spring and flowers.

I like the oversized denim shirts because they really help create that awesome street style. Plus, you know oversized clothing has been trendy for a while now. Especially last year when the pandemic began...with each month things started getting baggier and loose.

Denim Dress

What's spring without a charming dress? I don't even want to find out...hahaha!

One thing is for sure, the minute the weather allows, I've got my flirty denim dress with wedges on. This off the shoulders style with a single ruffle is my favorite. You've got to see the way it dances in the breeze. Easy, breezy, super pretty!

One thing I love about wearing a denim dress is that I can add on my colorful accessories. I've got plenty of them and with this kind of dress they will surely pop-out. For example, a mini yellow bag with gold feather earrings and a lovely pair of nude wedges. Otherwise, if the dress is already colorful or in a fun floral print, I tend to take down a notch the accessories and wear more delicate gold or silver pieces. I let the dress be the highlight of the show!

Denim Shorts

Finally let's give it up to the denim shorts because they're present at every spring/summer vacation. Even when not on one, wearing them feels like it. You can really play up the tropical vibes with a single pair of denim shorts. Exactly like this outfit above! I wrapped my pom-poms shawl as a top, added vibrant accessories, threw on the denim shorts and headed to a nearby neighborhood with lots of palm trees.🌴 You can do the same!

How do you like styling your denim shorts? Do you enjoy dressing them-up or down more?

Who else has got denim fever after reading this post? I know I do! I'm halfway running to my closet to see what denim piece I want to wear next. hahaha!

Also, you can always drop down a comment about what spring content you would like to see? I most likely will make it happen!!! 😉 Where's my wand?

See you again next Tuesday!

SPRING TRANSITIONAL PIECES EVERY WARDROBE NEEDS!

Hello everyone,

Happy new month and with that, soon we'll be saying "happy spring"!🌷

Who's excited for floral aromas, warm sunshine, cold cocktails and happier days?

All of this will happen, but also would be good to prepare our wardrobe for the upcoming season. You know, a little warm-up, so once spring gets here we'll be fully in the game!😉 It's always best to be one step ahead...ok, let's make that twoooo!🤣

Here on the West coast we're already seeing temperatures rising, which makes it easy for me to start ignoring the winter staples. Now, I'm beginning to fascinate about lighter fabrics, flirty ruffles, brighter colors...you get the point!

What's a piece you can't wait to wear this spring? I can't begin to explain just how much I look forward to switching things-up. From boots on my feet to espadrilles; from knit sweaters to a tee and maybe an outerwear jacket; from long trousers to mini skirts (ladies, start shaving the legs). hahaha!

Today, to get you in the mindset of spring, let's go over some transitional pieces to help get you there. You know I can take you there!!!😉

1. Jumpsuit

The jumpsuit, a piece that is not only easy to style, but is a great transitional staple. Totally an item worth investing in. It would be good to own a few different styles...long sleeved jumpsuit or even an off-the-shoulder style. Also, since we are focusing on making it work for the spring time, it's good to have it in more bright, happy colors. Why not yellow, lilac or orange?

Like rompers, I find jumpsuits to be a go to when you can't decide what to wear or you're in a rush. It really gets the job done! Just grab a denim jacket and add a cute pair of shoes and you're ready. Literally ready to go in ten minutes! This is one of the BIG perks of owning more than one jumpsuit.

Once spring starts calling, don't be afraid to call-out your jumpsuits from last year. You have them for a good reason and use them to help you effortlessly transition into the new season. It's a deal! 😉

2. White Denim

Always call on the "white denim" to make you feel lighter, more fresh and happier this spring. It completely cheers up an outfit...no matter what you decide to wear on top. If you don't already own a pair of white denim jeans, get on that asap!!!

The ones I'm wearing above are super stretchy and they feel more like jeggings. This of course is ideal for being more comfortable and having a more breathable fabric during sunnier days. There is so much this staple can do for you. You can wear them as often as three times a week and never repeat a look. The style options are endless!

I'm sure by now you might be over wearing black or blue denim jeans like me because we wore them often during the colder months. This March is time for a slight change...one that will help you appreciate the new season and the beauty that comes along with it.

3. Crochet Top

The warm sunny days can surprise you from nowhere, so take it from me, if you're wearing long pants, wear something more airy on top. Any guesses what I'm suggesting? Yep, a lovely crochet tank top. It will let the air and sunlight in. You'll completely look spring ready!!!

If that isn't an option for you (I know some of you have cold spring seasons) grab a cardigan or a jacket to layer with. Definitely be mindful of where you live and the changing of the temperatures throughout the day. Here in Vegas, I don't have to worry much about that. It's the best kind of weather I have ever lived in!

I feel like crochet tops were made for Las Vegas. They look amazing styled with your favorite pair of denim shorts or a fun maxi skirt. I Looooove IT!

4. Leather Outerwear

Give it up for leather especially a leather jacket! Another ideal stylish must-have piece. How can it not be when it can take you places? Literally, through every season you can think of. It's a great item to carry with you until it's officially summer because it will save you from chilly moments or from having a bit too simple of an outfit. Trust me!

I find the leather jacket to be as essential as the denim jacket. The more you have, the better! They are made to elevate your style because they go well with everything. There isn't a combination I would hate with one of these statement jackets. In fact, that answers the question, "why do you have so many of these?" Something a guy would ask you! hahaha But we, girls, clearly know the answer! 😁

Okay, spill the coffee...how many leather jackets do you own? I promise it will be between us...I won't tell your boyfriend/husband.

5. Midi Dress

One of the most flattering dresses for every body shape and a total winning piece for transitioning into spring is the midi dress. It's just too good and too pretty, not to love!

How many of you are excited to start wearing dresses again? Me, words can't even describe my excitement!!!🤗 This is the reason I was born during the spring! hahaha

Here again, you can choose a midi dress with shorter sleeves or tiny straps. It all depends on what catches your eyes and what you like wearing most. Go for your favorite style! Don't forget to twirl as you wear your dress for the first time this spring. I know your heart wants to!

Well, here you have it! Now, I want to know what's your go-to spring transitional piece? Also, what are you looking forward to wearing most once spring is in full bloom?

I hope your March is filled with sunny days! Talk soon! 💕
