WHAT'S WRONG WITH BEING CONFIDENT?!

Hello everyone,

Today's post is all about CONFIDENCE
You might be wondering why and what is the story behind this idea?!
Well, I'm here to tell you all about it.

Two weeks ago, on a Saturday night I went to Demi Lovato's Future Now tour. It was a night I won't forget for many reasons, but most importantly I was blown away by Demi's radiance and confidence on stage that she inspired me to come up with a showstopping outfit that gives ME the confidence to speak without needing to say a word.
As you may know, Demi has gone through some rough times with body image and seeing her that night shine so bright and being confident in her own skin, I was mesmerized and, literally, my heart was jumping for joy, for her strength to overcome such a difficult issue that many teens and women face these days. She owned the night and without speaking I could tell that she stood high like a skyscraper and concurred all her fears. It was so inspiring to witness and I'm sure those of you who have seen her or will see her in the future, will be touched by her poised presence.

She reminded me that being confident is beautiful. That having these exact eyes, hair, legs, face... is what makes you, YOU. You should embrace it because there is no one else like you, which means you're special no matter what anyone else says. Also, being confident isn't something you should shy away from... why not be that girl that loves herself exactly the way she is? Why not have your presence shine in confidence and speak for itself without actually speaking? There are a million reasons for you to love yourself inside-out and zero why you shouldn't! I know for a fact that we all need to start being nicer to ourselves, stop comparing ourselves to others and start loving all that we are, which will bring us the confidence no matter what. Demi is living prove that it can be done; I swear I saw it with my own eyes and it felt incredible, so let's all be incredible
What's wrong with being CONFIDENT?

This is my confident outfit and I want you to share with me your confident look by snapping a photo of the look that makes you feel empowering.
I'm going to share with you, why I chose each of these pieces and why this look is my ideal style for feeling confident. Enjoy!

1. Sexy Red Dress
The more red the merrier, the tighter the better...why? Because any dress that highlights my curves and has that pop of color makes me feel even more confident. There was really no second guessing when I was looking through my closet for a dress that's chic and most importantly ME. I'm in love with this one shoulder dress for the length, the fit, the see thru diagonal detail at the top and the fact that I can get away with wearing it without a bra (that adds up to a 100 bonus points).
No matter if it's a dress, jumpsuit, romper or a cute top, make sure it's something that adds to your already existing beauty, it's comfortable for you and you feel unstoppable when wearing it.

2. Leather Power
I could not pass the opportunity to add my favorite leather jacket on top because it makes me feel "bad ass" (trust me on the inside I'm a sweetheart) and gives me that more edgy look, plus, it's perfect for night time.
I love it so much that this isn't the first time I have done a blog post wearing it. Way back (when I started blogging), I did a really cool leather look that you can see HERE!
Whether it's leather, denim or stripes wear it with pride!

3. High Heels
High heels give me thrills! I swear they are the best thing ever invented for boosting your confidence up a notch and looking like you've got legs for days...
If you're a flat sandals girl, you might think of converting because high heels always leave a positive impact on my self-confidence and, ohhh man, do I feel like a woman!
These gorgeous strappy heals are my babes.

4. Bold Statement & Sequin
All of these things are a must for me because again, they're small additions, but when added together they make a big impact on my confidence...and what's wrong with being confident?
I really like having bold statement jewelry whether that be earrings or in this case a fabulous necklace. Jewelry has always been my number one obsession and when I think of it, the more the better. :) Even if I'm wearing a more casual look like shorts and a t-shirt, I find that just by adding a few jewelry pieces all of a sudden I feel like I'm wearing a ballgown.
Sequin has me shining inside and out, so I had to add a small touch of it with this sequin clutch. It fits all that I need (phone, lipstick, money...) and looks like the perfect addition to this showstopping look!

5. Red Lips & Shiny Nails
A red dress without red luscious lips is like summer without a sundress. As one who loves applying and buying lipsticks, I couldn't imagine this look without my favorite red lipstick. This fiery red shade and a few more of my favorite lip colors for this summer, you can have a look at this recent blog post.
And the final step that always brightens up my mood and day is having my nails done. I've said it before, but doing my nails is always so relaxing for me that I can literally do it everyday and never get tired of it. Shiny nail polish that glitters in the sunlight always makes me feel confident because while I do ordinary stuff like make a smoothie in the morning, I get to admire my nails and, ohhhh boy, does it feel good! Plus, I hear that guys always look at girls's nails to see if they're clean and well done. If you're interested, here are my top favorite summer nail polishes that I've been using mostly this season.

As I was inspired that night by Demi Lovato, I hope you found this post uplifting. Share it with friends and family who might benefit from it because there's nothing better than seeing a confident woman or guy walk by.
I dream of a day when all humans are fulfilled with love, confidence and strength.
Let that be YOU and be an example for those around YOU!

EMPOWERING JUMPSUIT!

Hello everyone,

Have any of you been watching the Rio Olympics? I have been glued to the TV, enjoying it all so much. Even as I'm writing this post, I'm watching the swimming. I love sports and have been playing for a long time, which is why I don't know if I'll ever get anything else done while the Olympics are on.
What have been your favorite events to watch? I cannot get enough of the beach volleyball, swimming, gymnastics and I hear in the next Olympics they'll be adding surfing, which is something that I'm so looking forward to (even if I have to wait four more years). Well, for sure I can keep talking about the Olympics, but I know many of you are here for the fashion, so let's get to it.

When there's pleats, great fit and style, it all means one thing... (in this case) a jumpsuit is here to make its mark. This particular one is so special to me because of these wide legs that flow in the breeze and look runway ready. I can't deny it, I also love the low cut, details, and wrap at the the waist, which flatters the loose fit on the legs.

Wearing black, you can style any way your heart desires. As I'm not a huge fan of wearing all black, I knew I had to add some color with my heels, accessories and even nail polish. You can see fuchsia was on my mind because my heels and earrings are matching and instead of adding jewelry, I went for a few gold/silver temporary tattoos to take their place.
Of course, with sunny days all around and still going strong I could not forget my aviators that, by the way, are my favorite type of sunglasses - mirrored aviators.

Jumpsuit: RACHEL Rachel Roy   Heels: Macy's   Sunglasses: Charming Charlie  Earrings: EXPRESS

I'm going to return to watching the Olympics (GO TEAM USA!!!), but before I do I wanted to share an all black look that I did in the goal of recreating one of Ellie Goulding's outfits from her Delirium tour. If you haven't seen it yet, you can enjoy it Here!

Let me know what you think of this glamorous jumpsuit look and I'll see you next week.

NEUTRALS in AUGUST + NAIL ART!

Hello everyone,

Today not only will I be sharing my outfit, but also showing you how to turn your scarf into a fashionable vest that can be worn over your swimsuit or tank top for everyday. Plus, a fun nail design that I came up with for those times when you want your nails to be different (not plain) and you've got the time to enjoy a little nail therapy. Sounds Good?

I've got this long scarf from last year while vacationing in Puerto Vallarta that I love so much that I wanted to figure out how to wear from day to day in my everyday life. I came up with the perfect solution that looks great and makes me feel on vacation all over again and now I'm ready to give you the deeds so you can achieve this as well.
So once you've got your favorite scarf that's long enough, it's time to place it behind your back (holding two of the corners in each hands) underneath your armpits as if you're about to tie a towel around yourself. Then all you do is bring those corners up and tie them into a knot behind your neck. It's very simple (look at the photos for a visual) and I hope my explanation isn't that difficult to understand. If you end up trying this style, send me your photos through my Instagram or Twitter... @FashionRadi and if you're in the search of more ways to style a summer scarf, I've got you with not only one, but five ways to do that- Read my post: Here!

Tank Top: EXPRESS   Shorts: Rachel Roy  Gladiators: GUESS   Hat: Target  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

What I personally love about this look is that it's casual and easy to put together, but so unique and stylish thanks to the scarf being used in a different way. It always comes down to being creative and trying different things because you never know what you might discover and fall in love with. I'm so thrilled for coming up with this vest type scarf idea that I wish it was the beginning of summer, so I could wear it more often.

What do you think? What's your favorite part of this look?

As I promised earlier, I'm also going to show you a fun nail design because one, I really enjoy doing nail art (when there's time on my hands) and two, this design is super fun and easy to do. Just remember, I'm not fully professional yet, so if the lines aren't as straight and perfect as I would like them to be, forgive me. Just try your best and enjoy the process.

Once you've picked your base nail polish color and that's all dried up, it's time to work on the design.

If you would like to see me do more nail designs along with my outfits, let me know in the comments. Also, if you recreate this same design or in different color combinations, take a photo and send it to me. I would love to see how yours came out.

That's all for today. I hope you enjoyed this lengthy post and be sure to come back next week for more!  See you then!

                                                                                                                                Love, Radi

FLORAL MINI DESIRE!

Hello everyone,

What's new? Except that it's almost August and before you know it, it'll be Christmas all over again. But looking on the bright side, it's still so sunny and I'm having a great summer (hope you are too), so to keep these vibes up I've got a super cute romper to show you.

As one who loves flowers so much, I love it even more when they're part of my apparel. This way I get to spread some joy just like flowers do (I like to think so) and have a flowery summer every day. This romper definitely does that for me whenever I wear it (been wearing it non-stop since I bought it last week). I just couldn't resist it and I'm the first one to say that I don't regret it even a bit because it's all I've wanted.... it's lightweight (no thick, sweaty fabric), it's colorful (just like my personality), it's short (perfect for tanning), it's easy to wear (one piece that covers both top & bottom) and mostly,it's so ME!

Usually I would dress up an outfit, but this time I really wanted a more casual look that you can wear anytime/anywhere during the summer. For that reason I went with these nude comfortable gladiator sandals with the slightest heel and lovely lace detail. How cute are they?

Also, I couldn't skip the opportunity of adding my favorite fedora hat and a few of my most precious jewelry pieces like these rings, watch, earrings and bracelet. I think they go well with the romper and the sandals, which makes me extra happy with the whole outcome. Is this a look you could see yourself wearing?

Romper: H&M   Hat/Sandals: Target  Rings/Watch/Bracelet: Charming Charlie  Earrings: American Eagle

Last summer, I also did a romper look (a bit more dressier) that I think you would enjoy, so I'm going to link it for those of you who are interested in seeing it- Click Here

Thanks for spending the day or evening with me and as always I'll be here next week with a new post for you. If you're interested in seeing something in particular, hit me up on Instagram @FashionRadi ( I would love to hear your thoughts, ideas).

Have a happy weekend ahead!

5 WAYS to WEAR a SCARF!

Hello everyone,

I believe a simple piece like a scarf can add that something special to any outfit and be worn all year round, which brings me to the conclusion of totally agreeing with Rebecca Bloomwood  in "Shapoholic" when she just couldn't resist buying that vivid silk green scarf. If you know what I'm talking about and have seen the movie (one of my favorites) you win extra points. This reminds me, after I show you the five ways to style a summer scarf, to get out the dvd and watch it (for maybe the hundredth time) because I can't hide the fact that in many ways I can relate to Rebecca, she's such a character and the movie is just so fun and easy-going, always puts a smile on my face. Have you seen it?

Back to the scarf in hand. Here are the five ways I would wear a scarf, in the hopes of making my outfit more fashionable and more unique. I hope you enjoy it and this gives you some ideas of ways to spice up your look next time you want to experiment with something different.

 1. Tie the scarf to your handbag

This technique in my opinion can make your look a lot more interesting, plus stylish, girlie and next thing you know everyone else is doing it. I really like it especially for days when you're wearing casual shorts and a tee, but you want your accessories to pop. Look at how awesome a purse looks with a scarf wrapped around it. This gets me thinking that even an old handbag that has be worn lots with the help of a scarf would look like brand new. Personally, I'm looking forward to sporting this look more often. Best thing about it is that you can change the scarfs up to match your outfit.

2. Tie the scarf as a bracelet

Another fun way to take your outfit to the next level, by turning your scarf into one big bracelet. Leave your bracelets behind and try this fresh new take that may easily become your new favorite summer trend. I know I can easily get used to it! There's no wrong way of doing it, just tie it around your wrist in a way that looks good to you and you're set to get lots of compliments or stares because of your one of a kind style idea. Embrace it and allow it to speak for itself.

3. Turn your scarf into a colorful belt

We all know that sometimes belts can be boring, so next time you get ready skip the belt and add a cute colorful scarf around your waist. This is way more fun and prettier because you'll have the scarf hanging nicely and adding a new element to your whole outfit (one that you didn't imagine could exist until now). I love the look of it and the relaxed summer feeling it carries, perfect for those temperature raising days.

4. Make a headband out of your scarf

Not only is this the best way to add accessories to your hair, but the perfect way to get your hair out of your face in style. A simple technique like this one will give you that more relaxed boho-chic look, which you can sport at the beach or whenever shopping. That's right I'm thinking of California, even Hawaii... anywhere there's sunshine, sand, palm trees and water to dip into. I'm so dreaming of that perfect paradise!

5. Tie it around your neck

And we can't forget the most practical and popular way to style your scarf, around the neck. This not only helps those of you who have long necks and want to hide it, but makes any look a lot more versatile and memorable. I find that one simple outfit with the touch of a scarf becomes bang bang....too good and so right. From nay to yay, from okay to wow! :)

Well, we've come to the end. Like I said, now I'm going to go watch "Shapoholic" and enjoy the rest of the day. Have a great one as well and let me know how you liked this blog post in the comments. Also, if you haven't seen my previous styling post (all about the white button-down) have a look Here!

I'm already looking forward to next week when we'll see each other again! Bye!
