HOW TO STYLE: APPLE-SHAPED BODY FOR SPRING!

Hello everyone,

Happy as could be, I'm back to continue this series of how to style according to your body shape! It's easier than you think. With my tips and tricks in mind, you'll be your own personal stylist in no time. Just remember, when choosing what pieces to wear, make sure they accentuate the parts of your body that you love and hide those that you want to keep to yourself. Mostly have fun and be yourself!

Today I'm going to cover the apple-shaped woman! (Round and tasty!)

If you've missed the first post of this series, which was all about the pear-shaped woman, make sure you check it out: HERE! (Hopefully it'll change your life in the best way possible!)

Take out a pen and paper, to jot it all down and........... Let's Get Started!

Artist:     Instagram: @Danielaelalife    Twitter: @Danielablagoeva

This above is an illustration of what exactly an apple-shaped woman looks like
She's round on top and thinner on the bottom. If she were to gain some weight, it usually is stored around the midsection, which is why she would want to cover that part of her body the most. But of course, the apples like every other body type have something beautiful and worth showing. They have amazing legs!!! Legs that can be properly shown off with the right choice of clothing.

If you aren't sure what body shape you are, hopefully by now you can identify if you are apple-shaped and are ready to style your body in the best way possible, so you feel confident and ready to take on the world one piece at a time (or continent at a time :))

Because spring is almost here (makes me so happy), I'm going to focus on styling my model to this season. If you're interested, I can do styling tips for every season with each body shape in mind?! But now it's all about the apple-shaped and spring season

This is the perfect outfit for all my spring apples out there!

Top: When it comes to deciding what tops to wear, first you have to take into consideration whether or not you're okay with showing a bit of cleavage. If you are, that's great because it means you can go for different cut necklines like a sexy V-neck, scoop, sweetheart or square tops. This way you have endless options and a way to draw the attention to your chest, preventing anyone even noticing your problem area (your midsection). On the other hand, I know that some women prefer not to go for low cut tops and that's perfectly okay. You'll just have to look for tops with conservative necklines like the boat neck or jeweled ones because they will cover your chest in the most flattering way without showing cleavage. Then, for some fun you can accessorize with bright colored earrings or a statement necklace (choose one) to keep the viewers' eyes away from your midsection. If both of these options don't satisfy you, you can go with a patterned top -one that isn't over the top, but subtle enough because a large pattern will emphasize on the area of your body that you  would rather not draw attention to. Be sure to look in the mirror to see how you look and if you feel it isn't working, replace it with a solid colored top (safer bet)
For my model, I chose this beautiful top, which is perfect for an apple-shaped woman because not only is the neckline appealing, but also the top flares out and falls lower than the hips, making the torso look leaner and longer. Remember, stay away from tops that end right at your waist
As colors go, choose darker colors like gray, black, dark blue, etc. because, for example, a bright red top will do you wrong since all eyes will be on your midsection and upper body.

Bottom: As I mentioned earlier, apples tend to have great skinny legs, so this is where you get to have all the fun in choosing different lengths and colors, even patterns of shorts or skirts. With legs like these, without a problem, you can wear miniskirts or short shorts. You can literally get away with wearing anything you please on the bottom half of your body.
Just like I picked these bright colored jean shorts for my model. They give out this spring vibe and most importantly, when you look at the illustration, that's where your eyes go immediately. Remember what we talked about? Accentuate your strong body parts, and bright colored bottoms will do just that! Take note - stay away from jeans that are too tight on you because that will make you seem even bigger on top and most likely they will create one unwanted muffin top. Another trick when shopping for jeans (or jean shorts) is to pick low rise styles because they'll be more flattering on your body shape. And if you want to appear like you have a bigger backside, back pockets are always great (apple shapes tend to have flatter backsides)

I think I covered all the important tricks and tips for the apple-shaped body. I hope you found this post interesting and most importantly helpful. If you have any questions at all that you would like to ask me, write them down in the comments below and I'll be happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Also, you can find me on Twitter and Instagram @FashionRadi! Don't be shy to send me photos of your new and improved spring styles; I would love to see what you have come up with! As always, stay beautiful and enjoy the rest of the day. See you soon!

                                                                                                                                          Love, Radi
